πŸ“Ÿ Repairs List Page

Welcome to the Repairs List page! This is where you can view and manage all your repair jobs in one place. Let's walk through how everything works.

πŸ“‹ Dashboard Overview

At the top of the page, you'll find helpful status tabs that give you a clear overview of your repairs by showing how many jobs are in each stage. Here's what each one means:

  • Open – New or ongoing repair jobs that haven't been taken on yet.
  • Invited – Contractors have been invited, but no one has accepted the job yet.
  • Accepted – A contractor has agreed to carry out the repair; the work may be underway.
  • Completed – The repair work is finished.
  • Closed – The job was manually closed or removed.

Click any tab to apply that filter β€” and feel free to combine multiple tabs to view a mix of statuses.

βœ… Filtering by Status

The status tabs at the top let you quickly adjust what you're viewing:

  • Click a single tab to show just that status
  • Click multiple tabs (e.g. Open and Accepted) to show more than one
  • Click a selected tab again to remove it

πŸ› οΈ What You'll See First

When you first open the page, you'll see a list of open repairs by default. This helps you focus on tasks that are still pending. You can switch to other views anytime using the status tabs.

Tip: When you scroll through the list and open a repair, your position is remembered when you return, so you can pick up exactly where you left off without scrolling again. This applies across all your lists.

βž• Adding a Repair

Click Add Repair to log a new job. You can assign a tenant if you have one, but a tenant is not required β€” so you can quickly log issues for vacant properties and keep maintenance moving without unnecessary steps.

πŸ” Advanced Filters

Click the filter icon to open detailed filtering options. You can filter repairs by:

  • Address
  • Contractor
  • Priority
  • Date
  • Fault
  • Manager

Once filters are applied, they'll appear below the filter area so you can see what's active. To remove a specific filter, just click the small X next to it.

To exit the filter panel entirely, click the X in the filter section. Your filtered view will remain active until changed.

πŸ“„ Exporting Repairs as CSV

Want a copy of your filtered list? Click the Export button to download the full list as a CSV file β€” based on all the filters and sorting you've applied.

Note: Even if your screen is showing just a subset of results (like 10, 25, or 50), the export will include all matching repairs. So if there are 160 repairs that match your filters, all 160 will be included in the export β€” not just the ones on screen.

⬆️⬇️ Sorting the Table

You can sort the table by any column:

  • Click a column header once to sort A–Z or oldest–newest
  • Click it again to reverse the order (Z–A or newest–oldest)
  • Click a third time to clear the sort and return to the default order

🧩 Customising Columns

Want to personalise the table layout? You can easily hide or show columns:

  • Right-click on any column header
  • Choose Hide Column, Insert Column Before, or Insert Column After
  • Selecting either insert option opens a side panel where you can manage columns

In the side panel:

  • To add a single column, just click Add next to it
  • To add several at once, tick the checkboxes beside each column name, then click Add Columns at the bottom
  • To hide any visible column, click Remove next to it

πŸ—² Extra Columns

By default, the following columns are displayed: Property, Date (submitted), Fault, Contractor, Snooze Date, Status, and Priority. However, you also have the option to display additional columns for more detailed insights.

Available Extra Columns

  • Snooze Date: Shows the date when the repair is snoozed until.
  • Manager: Shows the assigned manager for the job.
  • Last Update: Shows the date of the most recent stage update. This includes key progress points such as when the job was Invited, Accepted, or Completed.

You can add these columns using the customise column panel. Once added, they will function just like any other column.

πŸ—‘οΈ Deleting Repairs

Each repair item in the list includes a bin icon πŸ—‘οΈ at the end. Here's how it works:

  • Clicking the bin icon will move that repair to the Closed section.
  • If you want to permanently remove the repair, go to the Closed section and click the bin icon again to fully delete it.

Important: Deleting a repair from the closed list is permanent and cannot be undone. Be sure you want to remove it completely before confirming.

πŸ”” Send Reminders

You can send reminders manually from the Repairs list to follow up on one or more repairs at the same time. This is useful when you want to prompt contractors without opening each repair individually.

To send a reminder, select the repairs using the checkbox next to each repair, or use the checkbox at the top of the list to select all repairs. Then choose the reminder you want to send from the menu at the bottom of the screen. The reminder will be sent to the contractor for each selected repair.

The available reminder types depend on the current status of the repair:

Accept job reminder
Used for repairs that have been invited but not yet accepted.

Complete job reminder
Used for repairs that have been accepted but not yet completed.

Invoice job reminder
Used for repairs that have been completed but not yet invoiced.

🎯 You're All Set!

That's it! The Repairs List page is built to help you stay on top of all your maintenance tasks with ease and clarity. πŸŽ‰
