👨‍💼 Managers

This page provides guidance on how to manage Manager users with the Manager role in your Sorto account. It covers the full range of management features, including searching, editing, adding, and deleting managers. You'll also learn about system behaviors such as constraints on deletions, unique email enforcement, and how password creation and resets work for new accounts.

The pages described below are only accessible to users with the Admin role.

👤 Features of the Manager List

  • View all managers, including their name, and email address
  • Click on any list item to access manager details and edit their information

🔍 Searching

You can quickly find the manager you're looking for using these tools:

  • Search Bar: Use the search bar at the top to search by name and email

⬆️⬇️ Sorting the Table

You can sort the table by any column:

  • Click a column header once to sort A–Z or oldest–newest
  • Click again to reverse the order (Z–A or newest–oldest)
  • Click a third time to remove sorting and restore the default order

⚙️ Actions

  • Click the bin icon 🗑️ to delete a manager

    • Note: If the manager is assigned to any job, deletion will not work and an error will be shown
  • Click on any list item to view and edit the manager's details

👀 Viewing Manager Details

Click on any manager's name or row to:

  • View their full details

  • Edit their information

  • Click on the bin icon 🗑️ to delete a manager

  • Note: If the manager is assigned to any job, deletion will not work and an error will be shown

::: warning Remember to click "Save" after making any changes to manager details. :::

➕ Adding New Managers

  1. Click "Add Manager"

  2. Fill in the required details

  3. Create a password for the new manager

    • The manager can change this password anytime from the login page under 'Forgot password'
  4. Click "Save" to create the new manager account

IMPORTANT

Each manager must have a unique email address.
You can’t add two managers using the same email. If you try to use an email that’s already been added, you’ll see an error message. Use a different email instead.
